Nicola is a freelance strategist and journalist born and raised in London, with a stint in NYC. Having studied Theology as a way to interpret human behaviour, this curiosity has continued to permeate her career.

Having always worked agency-side, in 2020 she decided to apply her experience to clients of her own, working on a wider range of projects than previously possible.

Nicola combines her interests in music + culture with her strategic and qualitative research skills as much as possible, with these projects usually the ones she enjoys the most. However, she is always up for learning something new, and enjoys work that stretches her.

While living in the US, Nicola decided it was time to move beyond solely being a music fan, by also becoming a music journalist. With a focus on artist interviews given her natural curiosity into people’s mindset and behaviours, she finds the most interesting pieces come from a personal story.

In the past few years, Nicola’s journalism has widened to include cultural think pieces, as well as audio and visual formats, with many appearances on live radio and TV discussing topical music news stories.
